How does it work?
We will provide you with a dedicated number which you can then promote to the
community. You can decide if you want to provide the service to be an anonymous
tip-off line or simply as a further method of contact.
Can the callers’ id be kept confidential?
YES. The system offers complete anonymity if required as the caller details
are stripped from the message then forwarded as an email.
How will I receive the incoming text messages?
They will be forwarded as an email to an account that you have specified either
with or without the senders ID – this is an initial choice you will be required
to make.
What equipment do I need to install to allow me to receive inbound text
messages?
None. All that you will require is an email address that we can forward the
incoming messages to and we will provide you with a number to promote.
How do I pay for incoming messages – and do I need to take out a monthly
subscription?
You just make a one-off payment for the set-up fee at £150 (+VAT), there are
no further annual charges – the cost of sending the message is at the standard
rate to the sender (approx 9p) and you will be charged 5p per text to receive
the message via email. We recommend that you put £350 (+ VAT) of initial credit
into your account to get you started.
Can I have a incoming Freephone number to receive the messages?
YOU can but it costs £800 to set up initially and a further £800 per month.
How do I know when my credit is running low?
We will automatically send you a new invoice when your account reaches 25%
credit so your account doesn’t fall short.
Can I send an email to be converted to a text message?
If you require this function we can arrange for this to be added to your feature
settings allowing you to send an email that will be converted to a text message
and sent to a chosen group of recipients.
